We have started this journey with optimism and want to retain this emotion, spreading the feeling to all we work with, building a future outlook that is positive and joyful.
People are at the center of all our work, but our focus is on people living in harmony with the natural world around them, appreciating their place in it and the benefits nature provides.
We want to practice open, honest conversations and exchanges. We want to share information and research with our partners and facilitate discussions where we learn from any mistakes with a view to act and change.
In all our interactions we will strive to be ethical. Too often Africa, and African communities, are wrongly portrayed as helpless and poor, but we will always highlight dignity, ensure informed consent and make sure we are culturally sensitive in all our interactions.
We are conscious of the many different circumstances of the people we work with, and strive to always consult, accommodate and ensure everyone and anyone can be involved in our work.
Building skills and capacity and fostering a culture which encourages growth and fosters talent in all ages.
